Anastasia Matsko attained her Bachelor's and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Moscow State Technical University in 2006. Prior to commencing her Ph.D. program at the University of Manitoba in 2017, she worked as a lead auditor for medical device regulatory body. Between 2015 and 2017 she was a Director of a medical implant testing laboratory with Szutest (Turkey). She works under the supervision of Dr. França, Director of Dental Biomaterials Research Laboratory and associate professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.
Anastasia was granted multiple awards, including scholarships from the University of Manitoba, a grant from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in 2021, and has received two Mitacs Accelerate awards. During her studies, Anastasia has published two articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests encompass the investigation of bone-implant interactions, 3D manufacturing of implants, and dental restoration technologies.
