Implant dentists will appreciate the safety and high precision treatment that fully guided third molar tooth bud ablation (3TBA) represents. 3TBA has been developed to be a minimally invasive, one-minute preventive care treatment for children ages 6-12 that results in complete third molar agenesis. An explanation of the ablation technology and detailed histological and radiographic findings from cutting-edge animal research will be presented along with the results of pilot clinical trials that evaluated surgical access for 3TBA in humans.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the anatomy-driven rationale behind guided third molar tooth bud ablation.
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the key physical surgical requirements of guided third molar tooth bud ablation that resulted in 100% success in animal trials.
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the radiographic and histological outcomes of fully guided third molar tooth bud ablation.
