This lecture will take a deep dive in advanced planning, surgical treatment, record collection, and restorative workflows for FP1, FP2, and FP3 restorations using the most advanced available technology. Fully guided and partially guided digital workflows will be explained in depth, including a full exploration of techniques and processes that decrease treatment time while increasing predictability and the quality of patient care.
The session will review many topics including face-scanning and its integration into smile design, benchtop scanning, IOS full-arch scanning and record capture, options for surgical guides for All-on-X restorations, including metal guides, and the advantages of these technologies and techniques approach. Fully digital workflows harnessing Grammetry (combined IOS and scan body alternative to a the fully digital workflow) and photogrammetry are to be explained, step-by-step, including modern digital and analog record collection, case-design, coping free prosthetics, and in-office printing of prototypes and long-term temps.
In preparation for the immediate-restorative approach, a protocol utilizing a metal bone reduction and osteotomy guide will be suggested as a "best of both worlds" solution to a customized, same-day solution with advanced preplanning and predictability.
With each discussed workflow, a detailed description of the armamentarium and methods for success with each procedure will be shared with participants in detail, providing valuable takeaways participants can use in their next full arch patient procedure.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the advantages and disadvantages of digital and full guided workflows for all-on-x restorations including the surgical methods, record collection, and restorative nuances within each technique that can increase efficiencies and quality of care
Learn how to use available technology to increase speed of treatment with office fabrication of immediate load prosthetics and appreciate the records required for creating a restoratively driven workflow
Understand the complications that arise from poor treatment planning and discover the advantages and new tools utilizing CBCT visual-based approach to surgery
Learn the advantages and disadvantages of guided versus non-guided surgery pertaining to full-arch implant restorations and comprehend the work flow for full arch restoratively driven guided approach
Learn about developing “Biological Osteomies” utilizing advanced anatomic scalping approach and how to predictably guide the future bone formation around implants
