Dr. Stanley began his career as a Mechanical & Aerospace engineer. After receiving his BS, MS, and PhD from NC State University in engineering, he spent a decade in telecommunications. He later returned to school and earned his dental degree from the University of North Carolina, where he became Smile Engineer®.
Dr. Stanley has the unique ability to master and share his understanding of biomechanics as it applies to dental implants. He is a lifelong learner and enjoys sharing his passion for engineering and dentistry as the co-founder of the Stanley Institute and an Adjunct Professor at the UNC School of Dentistry.
He is a Diplomate with the American Board of Oral Implantology and the International College of Oral Implantologists, a Fellow of AGD and AAID, and a member of myriad professional dental organizations. He is also sedation certified.
Dr. Stanley and his wife, Dr. Bobbi Stanley, have four children.
