"Versah® was founded in 2014 by Dr. Salah Huwais, a practicing Periodontist in Jackson, Michigan. While placing implants over his 18 years of practice, Dr. Huwais consistently experienced the limitations of excavating bone using conventional drills when preparing osteotomies. He wanted to find a way to maintain healthy bone while preparing osteotomies. He developed the procedure called Osseodensification achieved by his proprietary instruments he invented – the Densah® Burs. 

The Densah Bur technology is based on a novel biomechanical bone preparation technique called Osseodensification. Unlike traditional dental drilling techniques, Osseodensification does not excavate bone tissue. Rather, bone tissue is simultaneously compacted and autografted in outwardly expanding direction from the osteotomy, somewhat akin to a traditional hammered osteotome, but without the trauma and other limitations."
